The Higher Education Dual Alliance

HEDA is a non-profit association established in Serbia in 2025 with the aim of strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions, industry, and other relevant stakeholders in the field of dual higher education, digital transformation, and lifelong learning.

HEDA operates as a multi-stakeholder platform bringing together academic institutions and companies to support practice-oriented education and skills development aligned with labour market needs. The organisation is particularly focused on innovation in education, including the integration of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital technologies into teaching and training processes.

The association actively contributes to:

development and promotion of dual higher education and work-based learning
digital transformation of education systems
strengthening links between education and industry
promotion of lifelong learning and micro-credentials
inclusion of vulnerable and underrepresented groups
green and sustainable development

HEDA carries out activities such as:

development and implementation of educational and innovation projects
organisation of trainings, workshops, and study visits
creation of digital platforms and learning tools
research and policy support in education and skills development

Through its strong links with higher education institutions and companies, HEDA ensures that its activities are relevant, practice-oriented, and aligned with European priorities, particularly in the fields of AI, cybersecurity, and digital skills.

The HEDA team combines expertise in higher education, digital transformation, AI, cybersecurity, and project management, with strong experience in Erasmus+ and other EU-funded programmes.

Key competences include:

Project management and EU funding
Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and coordinating Erasmus+ (KA2, Alliances, CBHE) and other international projects, including multi-partner cooperation and compliance with EU quality standards.
Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies
Expertise in integrating AI into education and training, including applications in smart learning environments, data-driven education, and digital innovation.
Cybersecurity Awareness and Training
Experience in promoting safe digital environments, cybersecurity awareness, and development of training modules related to digital safety and data protection.
Dual Education and Work-Based Learning
Strong background in aligning education with labour market needs through cooperation with companies, implementation of dual study programmes, and co-creation of curricula.
Curriculum Development and Micro-credentials
Experience in designing flexible learning programmes, short courses, and micro-credentials aligned with EQF and labour market demands.
Stakeholder Engagement and Networking
Strong connections with higher education institutions, SMEs, policy-makers, and international partners, ensuring effective dissemination and sustainability of project results.
Training and Capacity Building
Experience in delivering training for students, teachers, and professionals, including digital skills, innovation, and emerging technologies.

The team’s multidisciplinary expertise ensures the capacity to contribute effectively to all phases of the project, from needs analysis and curriculum design to piloting, evaluation, and dissemination.
